Wood flour is a finely ground product manufactured from the waste stream of lumber using industries. Our approach maximizes the use of a slow growth naturally reproducing resource and is environmentally friendly. We do not cut down trees to make wood flour.

Can you supply my needs?

American Wood Fibers has five manufacturing locations producing wood flour today and will soon add another. Each location produces multiple truckloads of material each day to satisfy the needs of our customers. American Wood Fibers works with five species and provides a number of particle distribution choices in each. Whatever your application needs may be, one of our trained sales representatives can help you choose a species and particle distribution which will provide the color, physical and chemical control your application requires.

What is wood flour used for?

Wood flour has a variety of uses based upon physical or chemical characteristics. Applications can be as simple as being a soil extender in a nursery mulch to open the soil or as complex as becoming a filler in a plastic resin matrix imparting unique properties.
